I miss when the internet wasn't so interconnected with the real world.
It was already getting bad in the late 2010s but the covid lockdown and the rapid influx of more people actively using it really feels like it pushed everything to the max, and now a place that I used to love and would use as an escape from the shitty aspects of reality is now a total shithole that demands you throw away all your dignity and funnel money into the pockets of epstein associates and the digital equivalents of moloch just for the ability to type.
And if you try to resist this bullshit in anyway whatsoever instead of being a walking advertisement for the biggest pieces of shit on the planet, you're labeled as "WeIrD" and "sUsPiCiOuS" despite the fact that one of the most widely known pedophiles on the planet did not use ANYTHING privacy related. I saw someone the other day get called a weirdo just because they said they used IRC, like really? are we being serious right now?
Not to mention anything you say will probably be falsely reported for harassment and spam anyway, whilst an obvious bot farm is being ran right in front of you and the person running it faces zero consequences because they're either working for the government or the very site you're on. God I fucking hate it here.
