I'm not even sure if it can be described as "talking". It is an understanding of both yourself, why things are the way they are and accepting them that way. The closest you get to talking to "God" would be during meditation and clearing your head or trying to achieve ego death.

i ask for him for help because i'm flawed and full of guilt, to show me my shortcomings, how i can improve, and to give me direction in life
it was the only way the presence of god even showed up in the first place for me (praying) and its not like he's always there but he does show up from time to time and its such an overwhelming experience the two times its happened

the most recent time i can recall was probably about 4 months ago when i was in great distress and i was freaking out talking to him about....being confused in life....and suddenly an overwhelming sensation of warmth calm and love enveloped me mid freak out/panic and which told me it was going to be okay
absolutely unreal experience to be in the presence
