why wait for le steamOS to crash and burn into a giant fart dumpster fire like steams last two attempts at making and failing to make an OS.

steam basically just has a very bad track record and are completely unreliable at this point. they have a real shotty reputation: they can't make half life 3, they make and drop new sources engines out of no where, and their failed previous OS projects.

I think the industry needs to evolve some more so owning a chatgpt subscription becomes a requirement, like how people need Adobe despite open source alternatives existing.
