Yesterday evening, I felt my body compressing. I have no idea what was happening to my body; but for a brief moment in what felt like hours the light was fading as I saw wellsprings of light breach like bullet holes as my vision began to haze. My entire body -- especially my brain, felt a great, automated compression, almost like a reflex to hold my soul tightly bound. In that instance, I thought, "If I am to die here and now, that would be splendid. I would not have it any other way."
