I'm bored, so lets share some interesting story ideas. Doesn't have to be good, but what matters is you put some thought into it.

Here is mine. A tyrannical government that keeps power by controlling the female population. For most of a girls life she is indoctrinated in government school and kept from the male population. Once she turns 18 or so she is married off by the governments choosing. Due to the brainwashing women will be one of the most supportive groups of the tyrannical government. Also as an added bonus they will brainwash their children too making the grip on power all the more firm. Wives will be given to only men who are loyal to the party. It forces the common man to either support the party or give up his bloodline. This would be one of many ways the party would hold power, but this is the most interesting.
