I want to learn about Christianity, but I'm lost. Should I start with the Old Testament? Is the OT Jewish exclusive? Or should I just read the New Testament? The Bible has so many Chapters and it's arranged differently from other books. Any tips?

in the Old Testament God is a vengeful dick and then in the New Testament God loves everybody and is very forgiving which is pretty confusing for your first time reading it.

serious answer, you start with the New Testament. The New Testament gives you reason to care about the Old. Without the New there's no reason for a gentile to care about the Old.

Start with John's Gospel.
It's the easiest read of the 4, is written as a better coherent story than the other three 'synoptic' Gospels.
After that read Luke's Gospel, he fills in a bunch of details John skips (or rather the other way around, since John wrote his last and probably had read Luke's manuscript).
following that, read into Acts a bit, it's the immediate follow-up to Luke's Gospel, same author.
And from there, go wherever you want. Most Bibles have footnotes that direct you to relevant old testament passages wheneve a new testament character makes a direct quote or reference, so just treat them as hyperlinks and check out what you think is interesting.

Probably not. The Old will add depth to your understanding once you read the New.

The 'Jews' of today are not the same people as the sons of Jacob who are the main characters of the Old Testament.

Buy a King James version and read from the beginning. There are other translations you should look into as well, because just like any sufficiently old record that's written in multiple languages there is a lot of context that you lose, but the King James version is of consistently high quality so I suggest you read that one before any others.
There 's a whole lot more you need to understand besides just reading the book, but that's a good place to start.
