she was getting scammed by some indian on whatsapp and had completely deluded herself into believing he was a hollywood actor, and got dreams/delusions about him mixed up with reality and it made it sound like someone she knew in real life was trying to extract money from her, so i tried a few different tricks to get information from her so i could report it to the police but once i realized she never actually met this person physically there was nothing i could really do
i tried to tell her neighbors (at a retirement sort of neighborhood) about what was going on since they were close to her but they just told me that its been an ongoing problem and they've tried what they could already
the whole thing made my heart literally sink and i wanted to throw up
