>>24130510Frankly if you don't have empathy and understanding for the wrongs dealt to native peoples then you are a massive hypocrite if you have problems with being replaced by mass immigration and displaced by your own governments.
At least native leadership had the pride to fight back. Our leaders are handing away our futures for cynical profit, they know what they're doing is inherently wrong, and they judge our ancestors for the same things they are doing today, except now it is being done to us.
Native peoples here in North America had incredibly complex cultures, despite being behind us technologically many had sophisticated political structures. The Haudenosaunnee woodland Indians, known to us as the Iroquois were widely compared to the early Roman Republic by scholars who encountered them and studied their ways in early culture.
One law they had was known as the great law of peace, and it dictated that any decisions made by tribal leadership should take into account possible effects those decisions could have all the way up to seven generations from that day.
If you can't recognize that the destruction ,subjugation and pacification of the free native men was a wrongdoing, then why should you be worthy of empathy or sympathy in the same struggle?
These were free people who depended on noone outside of their own tribe and kin. Now they are totally dependent on foreigners, addicted to the drugs we introduced into their communities and wasting away on reserves.
Take a close look. The same thing is happening to you right now.
