>>2431647So once upon a time there was a boy named John. John liked everyone and was very cooperative. He'd help his mother with chores, listen to his teacher, and join in his friends' games. One day John was walking home from school and met a man down on his luck. John, being friendly like he was, approached the man.
"Hello sir, is there anything I could do to help?"
"Sorry, kid," the man replied, "but I don't think anyone can help an old bastard like me."
"What do you mean, sir?" John questioned. "I'm sure I can find someone who could help you."
"I doubt it, kid; you best be on your way."
John knew better than this old man, however. His friends always had a game that would cheer him up and could cheer up this man too. So the next day John ran to his friends and asked them for help. His friends, always up for another game, gladly accepted their friend's plea and followed him back to the man.
"Here sir, I have brought my friends with me. I'm sure after a game or two everything will be better."
Reluctantly, the man participated in the boys' games; tag, jacks, etc, but none of them could cheer up the old man.
"I'm sorry, boys, but I just don't think playing will fix my worries. I have a problem but no solution, and for that suffer. Thank you, but y'all best be on your way."
