I've noticed it's a common situation, a dude lives in France or UK and plays EDM, then moves to Germany. Freaks from second-grade countries fly there in flocks.

Yet I literally cannot listen to German artists, they suck lifeblood out of others and build Musik Lebensraum.

Germany is one of those weird countries that can do some things really well and some things really, really bad, like there's no in between. Krautrock is amazing, a lot of ambient was pioneered in Germany, Germany does Techno better than Americans do, and a great history of classical music.

But the german language is fucking horrible, so german pop is shit, EBM is horrendous and german hip-hop is perhaps one of the worst things to happen in music.

I doubt this is true, Stroboscopic Artefacts, one of the most popular minimal techno labels, has artists from all over Europe, but not a single German.

Some of them LIVE in Germany though.
