>epic crash, mashed my thigh on the handlebar pretty bad
>bleeding into my own thigh, bruise getting big really fast and epic painful
>middle of the woods so had to hobble 4 miles to the train station
>train back to my local hospital cos fuck using a backwoods hospital I don't know
>two operations on my leg
>one to remove a massive haematoma
>the second for a skin graft a few days later
>1 week stint in hospital
>turns out I have Haemophilia C, a rare less dangerous but still serious blood clotting disorder
>thigh would not have stopped internal bleeding on its own, could have been very very bad news
