and thus the basis of liberal democracy is inherently flawed
there's nothing wrong with the vast majority of people having anemic understanding of politics, you only run into problems when you deiced to give everyone the vote
i would say a republic with limited franchise would work a la ancient Rome of even the early US, but the problem with that is that it becomes a good politcal strategy to put your finger on the scale by expanding voting rights.
