But for the most part you can't own the firearm collection that I have in a European nation and i can't saunter over to my gym and find plenty of people to play pickup ball with on a whim. Americans also earn significantly more money than the average person in an average European nation, which is nice. Of course this is not the case in Switzerland.
On the other side of the coin, European cities generally have a more dense infrastructure which allows for a much more convenient way of life in that you don't have to fight traffic to stop by the shops. Some American cities are the same, but those are places like Seattle, Portland, or Chicago which have high costs of rent. However, Seattle also has no state income tax, so that makes up for it and then some.
In essence, arguing that America is better than a European nation, or that a European nation is better than America is a flawed concept as there are benefits to each and it's up to the individual to decide what country is better to live in. For me, it's America
