>>2479460lmfao, funny, i used to when art bell hosted
>>2479468dude seriously you have no idea. it's not because of what you think. halloween actually started to die the immediate october after 9/11. almost no kids went out that year. almost NOBODY decorated their houses. in the following years, it recovered SLIGHTLY, but it never became what it was before.
our society turned more and more neurotic, miserable and detached from one another as things moved on.
when obama took office, that was the beginning of the real change though. and by his second term, omfg. it's impossible to explain things to a young person, i know. not because you're stupid or anything, that's just the nature of things. what the world was, in a different time, was something entirely, completely different, and entirely, completely more pleasant. i'm not just speaking about my own life, but measurable, objective relics of the past like "halloween", or "block parties", or just riding down the street and seeing the streets NOT mobbed with kids on bicycles riding around doing whatever they want. i mean sure, i see that still in the summer, but it's maybe 1/10th as common as it used to be.
and these are horrible examples, i know, because its a largely intangible thing. but the world is different now. it fucking blows and it was the multiculturalism and political correctness that did it to us from my point of view.
keep in mind, the frankfurt school critical theorists did cook up the plan to use PC culture and multiculturalism to destroy western capitalistic society, intentionally. and after they published their works, which were tremendously influential in academia, that's exactly what slowly started to happen.
