Joke all you want about guns but the thing is... America loves guns. America has always loved guns. Just like loving a woman, there will always be extremely severe punishments for putting faith ahead of reason. I'm willing to have my corporeality unwillingly merge with high-speed metal projectiles because I acknowledge that, as an American, we're not correct, but we're principled. Most Americans don't have the first idea about how guns even work. They couldn't even hold them properly if you gave them one. Yet, they seem to be one of the most fearful and pervasive forces in our society. Such is life in America. You're only safe because fucked up people like me are out there shooting fucked up people who are likely going to kill you for no reason at all.
