Probably as a measure of reusing assets from Dream Team, but it's still a bit disappointing for all toads to be rigidly on-model compared to the wide variety they had in the early 2000s games. They also replaced Psycho Kamek with Doctor Toadley, but that honestly made more sense to begin with.
