I like to apologize on Thomas Jefferson's behalf for not declaring war on Britain in 1812.

I feel bad for not helping Napoleon in return for "selling" Louisiana for just 3 cents an acre (which even back then was unimaginably cheap bargain).

I mean France would have certainly helped us in defeating Britain and the white house wouldn't even be burned.
We might have helped Napoleon win too!
