The thing about Lain is that you can literally explain Lain and be completely right while ignoring a good half of what's shown in the anime, which feels like fluff and extra layers added to look deeper than it is.
Texhnolyze is kind of the opposite, the story's much easier to follow and grounded and even explained, but the story's presented in such a way that you really have to attention to what's shown to you rather than what's spoken.
