>>2648580There's a lot of factors that lead to this kind of posting. I think a big part of it has to do with social media; people want instant satisfaction and don't tend to think much about what they're posting, usually just trying to get their opinion out as fast as possible to achieve the most "internet points" (karma on reddit, (you)s on 4chan).
From the surveys that were done a month or so ago somewhere around 40% of /bant/ claimed to be underage. If we take this as fact then that's a large portion of the userbase that has grown up in the age of social media, and has the internet point mentality ingrained in them. It also doesn't help that we get influxes of posters from /pol/, where quality is less sought after than quantity.
The type of person 4chan attracts also has a part to play in this; as it was originally a site for anime/manga discussion everyone had a common interest, something that connected everyone and made it a genuine community. Due to things like the 2016 US election specifically 4chan has attracted all kinds of people who have differing opinions and interests. This combined with the younger userbase and focus on quantity over quality leads hostility towards those who have differing opinions to you, think supporting a different football team as a child. This is seen most on random boards, as they have absolutely nothing to connect different posters.
>>2648588You've completely missed the point of both of my posts. I hate pointless spam of all kinds.
>>2648702 Sort of. I feel like /bant/ would work better as a forum in general, while the population here is small it's still big enough that the more common flags can get away with spam and general low quality posting.
