Do you reckon people are too perfectionist these days? Like, everybody is looking for the perfect life?

I think in the past, when there were more dangers (disease, hanging, war, more crime, more liberal use of violence by the state), people just got on with it. They thought "fuck I just need to get on with my life".

Whereas now, in a world where scary, bad things have been reduced significantly, and where we see people living perfect lives across all forms of media (Facebook, TV, movies, etc.), we think "I should be doing that! I want the perfect life! Why shouldn't I have the perfect life!"

Do you think that's true?
