American studios have been using Japanese studios to animate stuff since the 80s; The original Transformers is an example. Transformers isn't considered anime despite it's distinctly Japanese artstyle because it's an American cartoon. Neo Yokio isn't anime either. It's made for a Western audience and written and produced by Westerners using Japanese animators.

Also if you knew anything about how Japanese industry works there's no chance of a studio being completely bought by Hollywood.

Japanese studios make most of their money pandering to Japanese people. Then, 80% of money they get from fans overseas is from Korea, China and south Asia. So many Westerners pirate anime to the point that anime is basically unprofitable in the West.

Barring Ghibli movies and shonenshit people grow up with as children, the only Westerners that actually sit down and watch anime are people specifically interested in it, and the majority of them stream or torrent it for free. It's not a profitable medium in the West.

Also the majority of anime fans in the West specifically watch anime because it isn't Americanized. American imitation "anime" won't attract people who like anime, and it won't attract normalfags because of the social stigma surrounding anime.
