I live on Cape Breton island and I have plenty of food and am starting to buy guns next year.
I'd just hole up in my house and block off the bridge coming here. If it comes to worst I live less than a 5 minute walk away from a boat, I can just hijack somebodies boat and fuck off to the water until shit calms down.

Yeah I'd probably start a survivor camp or something, we would divide rations out and organize men into hunting groups to look for food. No blacks though, they only cause trouble.

Unlikely considering there are more boats than people in this area but if that were the case I would find a secluded area to build a fortress. Maybe find an abandoned semi truck with a c can on it and build from there.

Well as long as you are somewhere locked by land, and time passes on with more people turning, they WILL eventually reach you in search of food. I think going to an island with no bridges is your best bet

That's true but the winters in Canada are brutal, especially Northern Canada. Your average Joe wouldn't be able to survive in a climate like that. I have to work outside in -30 or below and that's bad enough as it is. I could only imagine how miserable it would be trying to survive in a colder climate than that.

Yah, not to mention gathering food would be tough as balls. Area is not really populated from what I know which means less dead skins but it also means less super-markets and more distance between them, nothing to grow to. You'd have to rely to hunting moose or w/e
