If I will get a longer work assignment in some foreign country, of course I will take at least a crash course in that language. Until I know which country that is... cba.
A bit of a paradoxical situation, first I would need to know which language I need in the future to get and stay motivated until the end. On the other hand if you know the language first, you are most likely to get jobs related to that country.
