>>2728188Hey man, similar place. I'm taking it weeks at a time trying to make things better, and prevent the previous changes from lapsing.
I have to do every change VERY gradually, or else I'll get burned out and revert to being a slob.
Do what that meme peterson said, just clean your room a bit, and every couple days, tidy it up a little. It doesn't have to look like a military barrack, just clean enough to see the floor and maybe hav esome good desk space.
Next I'd recommend taking a 30 minute walk every single day around where you live.
After that, learn how to cook basic things. Making things, even if easy, is fun and makes you feel good about yourself. For instance, I made myself beans and rice tonight, but because i'm a poor goof, I had to make substitutions.
That's where I'm at. I want to get back into playing my cello soon. That always brought joy.
Lastly as an overall: "creation" hobbies make you happier than sole "consumption" hobbies. Creation hobbies can be something along the lines of learning a language, writing poetry, working out, woodcrafting, making/playing music ect....
Consumption is keeping up with the latest TV shows, having plastic collections of plastic crap ect....
Creation hobbies genuinely make you feel happier.
