>wake up out of breath, panting, almost in tears
>realize that this entire time Battle Bridge wasn't destroyed, because the town that was destroyed was a decoy
I'm still waiting for the next dream.

This was the weirdest for 2 reasons.

Sounds awesome, you should do it, dreams can be great ways to come up with ideas for stories, especially if you keep a dream journal
I'm planning on writing something eventually and the main character came from a dream, but it wasn't a particularly weird one, just some fantasy bullshit

yeah I understand, I feel the same way. I was actually going to post on lit one day asking for tips on how to play out the story and flesh it out but I realized it's a little too risky to tell anyone about your writing ideas
Better to just wing it, if something seems pretty good then there's no reason not to write it, there are definitely going to be people who like it regardless

When I was 3-4, I dreamed that I was consumed by a big rock with arms and legs.
It was the scariest/weirdest because I was within this monster, where instead of being digested, it was a tubey cave prison.
I feared never escaping.
But me (and the Rug Rats who were in there) DID escape.
Although it no longer disturbs me, I remember that dream to this day.
Perhaps it was the body horror of being in an at least semi biological prison.

I also had this dream of being on the backyard of my old house but the ground was made of stuff similar to wet park woodchips. When I looked up, every time I blinked the sky would change. It changed almost like I was looking at sci fi planetary wallpapers.
