Psych could be a proper hard science but almost every paper I see makes at least one of the same bullshit mistakes - generalising samples of ten 18-20yo white girls to the global population, measuring enough variables to stumble across a significant p-value or two by chance, running inappropriate analyses or ignoring their underlying assumptions, and revising hypotheses after data collection.
I don't mean to insult you personally, but a lot of people in research psych are holding the field back and making it a running joke for the sake of keeping themselves in grant money.
