It's supply and demand. People keep a thread like the Morning /bant/erer or the OC threads or Kpop or the Fishe thread bumped because they feel that they're worth keeping bumped over inane blog thread #47, even if it's only to function as a containment thread like kpop general.
If you can make better threads than what are currently bumped, then your threads will get bumped instead of what is currently being bumped. That's just the way /bant/ works.
