What is specifically tripping you up? For the first part, try and move north-west of her which reduces the amount of bullets that are aimed at your direction, breaking off once she starts firing homing ice and keeping horizontal movement to make them miss. Focus if you have to and micrododge the non-homed shots.

Move back in front of her for the second part and try to find a "diamond" around the middle of the stage where none of the bullets meet horizontally, allowing you to dodge them moving in vertical motions. After it cuts off into lasers, she'll fire a Perfect Freeze which can be disrupted by bombing at the beginning, ruining her momentum and making the attack significantly less of a barrage. After that, she'll just barrage you and won't be long until she's defeated, so focus and dodge.

Regardless if you hit her or not, after a certain amount of time, she automatically gives up.

Not really, even if you read general trips, it still comes down to memorization down to your part. Once you remember the first few patterns it usually falls together and you start being able to do it naturally. Besides, you act like everyone has a strategy written against them!

If you go from lunatic first, you'll burn yourself fast. Do hard or normal first, then go up in difficulty from there and try other harder ones.

For the game difficulty, follow this chart made by some japs I saw in their board
I can't speak jap tho so good luck translating

Kind of surprised EoSD is 6 given I was told to start with that one, but I do suppose not everyone is going to agree on everything. I'd probably say IN is harder than EoSD, and that PCB is way easier than IN. Also kinda surprised GFW is that high up, it didn't feel that difficult to me from what I've played of it, but then again I've only beaten EoSD so what do I know about 2hu.

Just play them, anything above normal is fine as I believe you have to at least play on normal in order to get to the final stage and to unlock the extra stage if you 1cc the game. I wouldn't say you need to look up anything to play them though, and definitely not on normal.

Easy Mode is a trap, but there's no shame in playing Normal, especially in EoSD. If I remember correctly, there is no visible hitbox in that game, which might be why it's considered one of the more difficult ones, but even without it you get a hang of what to do.

Also, if keyboard isn't precise enough, you can always try joystick instead.

Damn, that's the most easiest version like, geez OP, I played the game for just only a week and I'm going to tell you, that I got my best in Stage Five, Lunatic Mode, no continues! After that I'll just deleted it because it's not challenging enough. I played Touhou for just only 6 FUCKING MONTHS and I could remember any bullet patterns in just one try or two. The five first games were developped for PC-98 platform, so you' need an emulator. That's the first thing.
