Because it honestly feels like todays standards, being a weeb means obsessing over a certain little girl (or boy) and posting pictures of them constantly, even pretending to roleplay as them (without really understanding the character) until inevitably the next popular character comes around. Then you start over again.
A little over ten years ago I'd have been considered a weeb because I enjoy some anime and don't have any negative feelings towards Japan. But I also don't obsess over little girls. So am I a still considered a weeb?
