Was watching a few documentaries in response to Ian Brady dying. Guy had everything up to his death planned out from the attention, including elaborate funeral plans. The whole reason why they cremated him at night then threw the ashes in secret was last final "fuck you" for the attention.
Although considering people are already locating the spot they threw the ashes and it's dug up a whole lot of documentaries / news. Either way, the attention was never off him even when he died, suppose he got what he wanted.
