>>2845968>Noone wants the other's to get itI didn't say that. I don't mind if someone gets it, but not by illegal means. Independence based on the result of a fraudulent referendum hurts the true meaning of democracy and sets a bad precedent.
>pure envy and greedThat's why some Catalonians want independence in the first place. They didn't suffer as much repression as the Basque back then and they even supported the 1978 Constitution as much as other regions. Only the Basque Country and Galicia supported it far below average.
>ultra authoritian central governmentNot really. This isn't a dictature anymore, no matter how much Puigdemont says it is. Catalonians could have asked for more autonomy back in the 70's, like the Basque Country and Navarre did, but they didn't. The government managed the situation badly, though.
>violent forceWell, people was doing something illegal. There weren't severely injured people either.
Also, the central government ordered the Mossos to take action but they disobeyed, so that's why they had to send the Guardia Civil and Policía Nacional. Again, the government didn't manage the situation well, but that doesn't legitimate the independentist movement.
