JUST fuck my shit up. what a fucking dick ffs i bought a pair of 4gb x 2 Rams today and my fucking mobo only recognises one 4gb

do you need to alternate the slots you stick them in? my mobo needs two installed in either slots 1 & 3 or slots 2 & 4

Test each of them on the same slot and see what happens. Also - what ia your OS? Windows or something? 32 or 64 bit?

Just put one of them in and see if it recognizes it. It’s not that uncommon to have faulty RAM sticks
