To give some more context, we were split into groups and given a problem solving activity. The rest of my group missed out on the job for having poor social skills, and I was rejected for taking charge and asserting myself over the rest of my group.

The irony is that once you do get a job, a lot of people you work with will be idiots and you have to take charge of them.

It's pretty bad here in America where tech firms have to hire women who love to brag about being engineers but can't even approach basic problems.

I work with one who bitches about having so much to do in her other projects, and when I see her write code, she shoves it together with no optimization in mind and lets it run for an hour rather than thinking a little bit harder to get it to finish in 10 minutes. Claims she was software track in school and I can write better shit than she can.
