My favorite anime is Colorful, because it stands on it's own as actually being a good movie, and I like the part when the mc sees his crush doing compensated dating and he feels betrayed, despite it having nothing to do with him, and I understand the girls feelings for wanting to do it. Most anime is like empty calorie food, therefore I would say I greatly prefer movies, although I really enjoyed house of five leaves and katanagatari.
Stylistically I also enjoy early 90s anime, as well as late 80s. I like the sharp facial features characters had, like in Yoshiaki Kawajiri works.
