They were firing so rapidly they ran out of ammo and had to resort to firing light bulbs at us. They had more than enough to fire since they'd just taken over a nearby light bulb factory. We were almost helpless against the onslaught. They just kept coming and coming and all we could do to protect ourselves was eat the light bulbs. We spread butter on them to make the go down a bit easier, but it didn't always help. A lot of good men got heartburn that day. Eventually reinforcements arrived, but it was too late.
So to this day, to remember the brave souls who defended the moon base from the clutches of the Czar, we spread butter on our light bulbs. And now you know.
