Faggot here, this is not how it ever happens, finding a cute bf won't make your problems get a little worse right before they're solved forever because of the power of love. The hatred we saw right after pretty boy and the jock got together? Yeah it becomes more rare but you'll never escape it. The jocks family might disown him, they may be called faggots or abusive parents when they're seen holding hands with their kid, maybe the bullying stops for them but their kid is ostracized for having two dads, but it'll never stop.
It does get better, but life isn't a fairy tale. Finding "OMG SO CUTE GAY LOVE!!!" isn't going to solve all your problems, and will often make them worse. The only thing that'll actually make things get better is hard work, surrounding yourself with good people, going somewhere safe, and most importantly growing a nice, thick skin. Good to give people hope, but don't lie to anyone. It'll be a huge drag all the time, basically.
