>>293007As good a question as any I've seen today. The biggest news item in Indonesia in the last month is the Jakarta gubernatorial election which was heavily charged with issues of religion, given one candidate was Christian and the other Muslim.
The crux of the issue is this verse from the Quran :
O you who have believed, do not take the Jews and the Christians as allies. They are [in fact] allies of one another. And whoever is an ally to them among you - then indeed, he is [one] of them. Indeed, Allah guides not the wrongdoing people.
- Meaning, if you even ASSOCIATE with non muslims, you're sinning. Much less if you vote for a non-muslim mayor/governor/president/prime minister.
Now, I had plenty of Muslim friends and colleagues working for a non-muslim boss, but now that this issue came to the fore, I realize that all the "nice" muslims are going AGAINST their religion. The Quran itself teaches divisiveness from other belief systems. When they breed enough, then they'll start voting for muslim leaders, and the takeover is complete. Once the Muslim majority is reached, there's no going back.
Why isn't anyone talking about this shit?
