the biggest contributing factor imo is that they dont need to raise kids thus there is no real concrete reason for them to stay together, if you look at straight couples a lot of them stay together due to *unplanned* children because they are obliged to take care of that living burden until it gets old enough, this is why regular marriage was exists, it makes easier to raise children, you as a male start a family with a woman because she likes you or your money and possibly have children, they dont have that, so they opt for fast gratification
many of them actually dont even want marriage with these laws but rather to REDEFINE marriage to something more loose, something more allusive to polyamory where you dont really invest your life on a single person so this is why i dont believe this is ever going to change
