Do you guys have messy folders, or do you keep them neat and organized? How do you sort all your pictures if you do?
I'm trying to organize, but it seems hopeless for the most part.

I keep them organized based on reaction and which board its appropriate too.
Just make several new folders and save all of your images in there from now on.
It really helps, it's a good habit to form.

i have a bunch organized folders for stuff i wanna keep, new stuff goes into my DL-folder, and, if i feel like it, it gets sorted, mostly to my other-folder.
I also have a tmp-folder where i copy everything i wanna upload to(aka recent reaction-pictures etc.)

I've mentioned this a few times on /bant/ before, but I organize my files in an extremely rigid format, almost obsessively.
Folder structure is the most important part of organizing your files effectively, no matter how well you name your files it will eventually become bloated if you don't have enough folders. Personally I have one main folder that contains everything, and over 100 sub-folders within that. For anime I find that having a folder for each show works quite well, and if they become bloated then making a folder for each individual character inside that anime's folder works well. Other things I like to break down by general topic; I have a folder for screencaps that itself is broken down into more specialized folders like GETs, and bans. Finding a balance between having enough folders to prevent bloat, but not so many that each folder only has a couple of images is key.
I do filenames really simply, everything is in lower case, with a decent description of what the image is about as the name. For anime screenshots/reaction images I use <character name> <emotion> as a general formula. This works really well for me, but I built this folder from scratch after losing my last one, which was a mess. It could be a monumental task to build this kind of system from a preexisting folder, especially if it has 100,00 images.

I try my best to sort things as and when I download them, otherwise I like to put recent images directly on my desktop, as I hate having pretty much anything on my desktop and it forces me to deal with it in a reasonable amount of time. From time to time I bulk download images from boorus, but they're stored on a different drive and I go through, renaming them at my leisure.
I play touhou a fair bit, I'm not particularly good but I find they're fun games to just sorta zone out and enjoy.
Also, I wasn't joking about the ohayous...

"play moar" is actually decent advice when trying to get good at touhou. the only way you're going to get better at reading patterns and learning hitboxes is by dying again and again. Fumos are the cutest! In case you were unaware, there's almost always a fumo thread up on /jp/ >>>/jp/17896641 and you can pick them up from a fair few places. They are on amazon, but they're a lot more expensive there than elsewhere. Oh yeah I do know about the fumo thread, thats where I got alot of information such as amiami. It's just I don't order online too often so I had to make a paypal and now I have to wait for my passport so I can verify who I am.
