This is optimism taken to an absurd degree. The feelings of sadness and anger exist for a reason. It’s so that when people wrong you, you take steps to avoid being wronged again. “At least the person who wronged me is happy that they wronged me” is an extremely unhealthy and self-destructive mentality that really shouldn’t be encouraged.
Personally speaking, there’s nothing wrong with being optimistic and trying to maintain a positive outlook on life. But if someone did something bad to you (e.g. stole your bike) and your way of dealing with it is “they’re happier now, so it’s all good”, then I think you’re on a slippery slope.
Makes it all the more perplexing as to why people are praising this kind of positive thinking, it’s unhealthy.

You know your fetish is stemming from the way the human brain reacts to trauma right? It’s not uncommon for people, when cheated on by their spouses, to feel sexually aroused. It’s a reaction that stems from our fear of abandonment. I won’t go claiming that toying with that kind of instinctual response is “bad”, but it can definitely lead to negative consequences for all parties involved.
