>>2986272Kek I lived in Phoenix for 7 years, hit 115 every single one of those years, couldn't go outside unless you were thick skinned or drank a 2 liters of water an hour, news reports loved to tell how many homeless people died each week, one summer we had 42 dead from exposure to the dry heat, also got the occasional report of a European tourist dying in the desert with only a 1 liter bottle of water trying to hike midday, sometimes it was a local, or an easterner from the us. Out here it's not just a dry heat, it's an extreme dry heat under intense sunlight. But AZ has both the hottest major US city, Phoenix, and the coldest US city in the lower 48 (bby most days below freezing), Flagstaff (2100m above sea level). Summer monsoons out here also bring extreme humidity combined with 110+ weather.
