>>3002966If you want a pistol it's very hard to go wrong with a Glock brand Glock, just get a 9mm because that's cheap for practice and +P is enough for self defense if you put shots on target. I like rifles for everything but concealed carry, last I knew basic bitch ARs were dropping into your price range. 5.56/.223 can be had cheap enough to not bankrupt you on range trips. You could also look at shotguns too, I don't have much experience or opinion about them beyond my 1100 and Supernova. Mine are both hunting guns and pretty ill suited for personal defense. I also don't think plinking with a shotgun at static targets would be very fun.
