Not really done anything myself either, played a bit of Mighty Gunvolt Burst (it's a not-megaman game where you can customise your weapons a whole bunch) and a bit of work on my Japanese, but that's about it.
I've played a bit of XCOM: Enemy Unknown and that was nice, but I really do mean a bit. I'll get to it one day I imagine, strategy games are nice even though I don't play them much.

My folder that I have some files in says it was created on the 27th of August which would be when I started, after I learnt kana I kind of took a break so probably a month and a half / two months, something like that. I could, and given I have the time I should, be doing more but I'm doing a bit everyday so I'm happy.
Need to get back to learning French too, did that in school and I decided to pick it up again for the purpose of getting manga that gets a French release and not an English one, but I haven't done any of that in a month or two. I've forgotten a LOT.
Never thought I'd be trying to become trilingual but here we are I suppose.

Alright so the one on the left is called Tópas and it's basically vodka mixed with a candy that I'm not sure you are familiar with (it's a licorice pill with a minty taste if that makes sense), but you'll often see it at parties.
The one on the right is called Brennivín or burning wine, I've also heard it reffered to as black death before.
It's a much more traditional drink and it's kind of disgusting, so it's really fun to give it to foreigners.

I can't believe this used to be a common drink on Iceland.
It just tastes awful.
I'm not even sure how to describe it, but it tastes like if you poured rubbing alcohol through a stinky sock and then bottled it for consumption.

Yes, the english name for it is Rakija, however there are different "kinds" of Rakija.
It's bassically Balkan version of Moonshine.
some are made from plum and some are made of apples, but you get the idea, it's pretty strong

I've spent the past two months in Belgrade - by far my best stay in a foreign country, people are incredibly generous, food is to die for (god knows how much weight in pljescavica i've gained) and spent countless nights chugging on rakija (Even tho i really missed the ones i was given by the farmers in that rural village near Mt Rtanj the past summer).
It's a shame it's still such an overlooked country given everything it offers.

I've only played the first stage or so, think I beat it, not sure. Played it on emulator which is probably why I've not gone back to it. I've heard someone say that using a glitch is the only reasonable way to fight that boss so it sounds like it's rather tricky.

Let me clarify: it was not my idea to watch these. I'd barely seen any anime before the start of last year (just a decent few films, yugioh gx if you count that, a bit of bleach, and soul eater [all dubbed except for the last season of gx as that never got a dub, I didn't know any better no booly pl0x]. Oh and I saw like an episode or two (or less even) of a few shows (subbed this time) from I think after I watched Soul Eater when I tried to get into anime but nothing grabbed me, two of those I've since watched and the rest I don't have a clue what I was doing watching them). So yeah, my dad and my brother both have somewhat of an interest in anime.

First is touhouvania, a fangame with a fairly self explanatory name; the second is, as it says, Blaster Master Zero: a remake of an old NES game, and it's kind of a metroidvaniaish (doesn't really have the backtracking, but it has upgrades that let you get to new areas and stuff) but most of the gameplay is in these dungeons which are top down shooters. Maybe give Downwell or Risk of Rain a look, can't think of too much since I tend to play on handhelds more. Both simmilarish to TBoI, not as much of a focus on items though, and Downwell is a lot shorter per run, and Risk of Rain can get quite long once you get good at it so perhaps neither are the best suggestion. Touhou can kill like half an hour for a run if you care for those.

Seriously i used to put on some podcast and just play it for hours.
It was reallly fun doing that and every time feeling like you got just a little bit better.
You'd discover these small tricks that you could employ and it was so satisfying to realize them.
Although i understand that not everyone can enjoy it so I'll also recommend Enter the Gungeon.

Getting past the first floor is taking me way longer than what I'd like to admit. In each new run there always seems to be something new I didn't count on that gets me off guard. Getting killed by the shopkeeper going apeshit was hilarious though.

I actually think you're guaranteed to always get the bird on your first couple of tries, since i also had that experience.
My current favorite is the pilot, he has a lockpick that allows him to unlock locks 50% of the time and he has an extra spot for a spacebar item, he also gets a small discount on any purchase but his weakness is that he only has a basic pistol so 1st level will be harder.
The hunters also good, she has a dog that sometimes finds useful shit and a crossbow.

By the way, how do I load a saved game? I talked to that thing at the end of the floor, chose save and exit and got into the door and when I went back it started from first floor again. I googled it and found out I should've chosen continue in the main screen, but it's not there so I guess it either goes away after starting a new run (even without saving the new one) or I missed something.

The pilots definitely for more advanced players, I'd stick with the other ones until you're familiar with the game.
If you save your game you can't start a new run, it'll just overide it then.

For instance the boat gun can be good in an enclosed space areas.
Also you might misinterpret what some guns are good for, like the molotov BSG, i thought it would be fantastic against bosses but it turned out that it didn't do that much damage to it, but when used in a crowded room it wipes out every enemy.

Twenty one hours after three hours of sleep I know for sure, not sure if any longer, cause while I do stay up all night every so often I usually fall asleep for a few hours in my chair or something. I have this theory that whenever you go to sleep your consciousness actually gets snuffed out and replaced the next morning.
Mind you i don't really believe that now, but i used to.
Back when i was 16-17yo i convinced myself of this theory and i of course frightened for my life decided to never go to sleep again.
So i stayed up, for at least 50 hours, maybe it was more though.
I had been awake for so long that i started to see some freaky hallucinations.
Started just with moving objects leaving trails after them then i started to see shapes where i was pretty sure there were none.
Eventually i passed out in my chair, when i woke up i decided it wasn't worth doing that again, even if it means that I'll practically die.

That's why I usually try to avoid philosophical discussions. Even if can properly convey my thoughts they don't make any sense anyway so why bother.
