Yes it is, even if you have Some knowledge of similar languages you'll have a hard time.
It's one of the hardest languages to learn in Europe.

sorry to burst the bubble mate but it's actually a bit shit to live there

pretty in pictures but even being a tourist can be hit or miss depending on the season, time of day, weather etc. just imagine it and it will be nicer, never visit

had relatives up there and it's crap, if you want windswept britain just go to a national park in the mainland so it doesn't take days for you to get anything you need that isn't already on the island and there's stuff to do beyond walk around the whole island in less than 3 hours
