Most shocking there was a 45 year old man who said that “Looking at junior idols soothes me, I do not have children of my own, so seeing them makes me happy” (Galbraith JT). If this was said to a Western audience about a 14 year old girl posing in “glossy” photos I doubt there would be many positive thoughts about this opinion.

America used to make lots of badass action films back in the 1980s. Nowadays, we only have shitty films with effeminate white male characters and strong female/minority characters. And understand, no one wants nuclear fallout, especially so close for me.

Yes, it is shameful and sad. At one point in time, this entire country was brought to ruin, your country was involved at the time.

There was no farm or industry on a scale large enough to sustain a population. Hunger was rampant. Dog used to be eaten by the super wealthy, then it became, anything possible to be eaten by anyone hungry enough. Now there is very old (or weird) people that eat it as a staple. The sad thing is there is a "dog market" at a few places around the country. If you love dogs, it will be a very heartbreaking place to see. As one is directly off a train stop you see the horror if you accidentally find it.

The practice is dwindling, beef and pork are everywhere. And most people of our generation have never even tried dog before.

But the stereotype still persists.

Is it true American's eat spam though? That used to have "mixed carcass meat" in it.

I’m not the Anon you responded to but yes - we sell spam. I work in a grocery store and a group of 3 kids came up asking about dried meat, they couldn’t describe it well enough and eventually they found the “spam” they were looking for.

We sell a lot of shit, most of it Amerifat foods like deep fried twinkies, Oreo churros, Macaronni in Cheetos, etc. and it makes me laugh when we condemn other cultures for the weird shit they eat (albeit, eating dog is pretty weird IMO)

Also, I would like to say I have a deep respect for your culture and work/education ethic and society as a whole, more generally the Asian countries (Korea, China, Japan, etc.) and I hope you don’t think every Amerianon on bant is some NEET pro-America memeing cunt

As such, in this culture all that "awful American" food... is seen as an awesome exotic food sometimes. Like we have so many snacks, including oreo churros. Not to mention McD's sells churros here, but learned not all stores sell churros in the states. Was shocking to learn that.

One fast food place I went to last week actually just came out with a promotion called "Deep Fried MACCU & CHEEZU bites" it looked good, but I knew - now that's some American food.

I wish there were Wendy's here though. I liked the spicy chicken sandwich. I tend to only eat fast food when I travel but I would eat that once a week.
