>>3101677Not really, thos territories were mostly inhabited by Germanic tribes, with maybe some Slavic people trying to settle there. Slavs weren't the type of people that wanted to fight for more land, they were always focused more on farms and such. WIth Germans being warriors, you see why it didn't really make much sense to go there. Even so, territories of nowaday's eastern slavic countries were claimed by Slavs relatively late.
