>>3114369Well, what I am referring to as "true lithuanians an shiet" is just what people (and when I say people I mean those who actually considered themselves belonging to a country) in the Grand Duchy were. I believe the nation of Lithuanians as you are today lived there too, but hadn't felt any connection with any particular country. Believe me, nothing wrong with "not being true lithuanians" or something, it's just that, as a Pole, I want to know who is the closest to people of nation with which we were living alongside for quite a time.
And yes, they are some mixed cultures, but they are indeed closer to it that way. Doesn't make them "better" than you or anything.
Although, stuff like "Adamus Mickewiczus" or however you call him is a bit silly ;) If it's not just a big stereotype.
