>>3116511Everything about the Garand is satisfying, from shoving in a new clip and slapping the bolt handle to load the first round to the audibly pleasing click of changing the elevation of the rear sight leaf, the chunky wood stock and the amply sized peep hole on the rear sight. The FAL is a close runner up, FN's engineers were likely paid by part so they incorporated as many plungers and springs as they could, to have them all operating in perfect unison is very nice. AKs are simple and clunky, but that's what makes them good.
