You're making all socialists and communists look bad.
The soviet union was a failure from the beginning, it already went wrong when the communist revolution started.
If you want to follow Marx's plan, you have to start a revolition against the bourgeosie and let the state, as a representative of the people, namely the proletarians seize the means of production.
But there was no bourgeosie in Russia. there was no capitalism that had to be fought, Russia was still largely feudal.
The revolution was 30-40 years early.
I'm pretty left myself but the soviet union is the worst example for communism, like pancakes the first one usually becomes a disaster.
Since the following revolutions were inspired by the Octoberrevolution or initiated by the USSR, of course they went to shit as well, China being the most laughable example, Mao didn't even believe in communism, he just saw it as a means to become powerful and unite his nation.
Every single communism that was established by a revolution was a failure, NK is a fucking joke, Cuba and Vietnam are slowly getting more western and China is a prime example of a fucking free market economy.
Marx and Engels's works are not worthless, but revolutionary communism simply doesn't work if it's not established in the whole world. And even then it's highly questionable if that is a desirable condition.
The winners of a revolution are not the ones with the people's interests in mind but the most devious ones.
