Why do us Americans love guns so much? I can understand owning a pistol, and maybe a shotgun or even a rifle for defensive purposes and hunting, but a fucking assault rifle seems like an overkill. It just seems insane that most people in the U.S can easily acquire a tool that can easily kill anybody instantly, and it seems even more insane that we can get an assault rifle and kill multiple people in seconds.
The founding fathers constituted the 2nd Amendment so we could form militias and stay a free state. This isn't really necessary anymore. Also, when the 2nd Amendment was founded, the guns at the time were incredibly inaccurate and took a minute to reload. I don't imagine they had fucking assault rifles in mind.
